The agricultural sector needs to be promoted and given more national attention because Lebanon has ideal agroclimatic conditions that are favorable for a variety of agricultural crops. The objective of LAND was to engage the public in this industry by providing the know-how, skills, equipment, and resources.

Dr. Youssef Sassine expanded LAND’s public relations efforts with the European community and put various scientific processes into place. LAND received graduate and PhD scholarships in the agricultural field because of his tireless efforts. To support small farmers, LAND has been ensuring seedlings and soil testing in collaboration with the Lebanese University.

All these initiatives attempted to improve the agricultural society of Lebanon and increase civic duties in this area.
